        Mr. Fisher, operating a company name that I forget, bought WSPR in
1977 from the Alan Tindal family, the long, long-time owners I raked over
the coals here awhile ago. At that point, the station was like one of those
Hollywood sets for an old-time western movie -- if you looked behind the
facade of the buildings along the main street, there was nothing there but
2x4s holding up the front walls. I don't recall when Mr. Fisher sold the
wreckage.
